The Case for Not-Quite-So-High-Speed Rail





The bad news: Republicans have torpedoed plans for American bullet trains. The good news: The Obama administration is quietly building a slower, but potentially much better, rail system.





Most of us would like high speed rail in the US. I have taken a few fast trains in Europe and China and they are very nice.  But most of us are not too keen on the expense and hassle of constructing the system. This is an interesting article.
