The Spread of People From the Middle East Into Europe





The Neolithic Era or New Stone Age, was a period in the development of human technology, beginning about 10,200 BC, in some parts of the Middle East, and later in other parts of the world and ending between 4,500 and 2,000 BC.

The study goes on to examine DNA expansions from the Middle East into Europe.  The two graphics below show the age and distribution of MtDNA Haplogroup J, which is associated with agriculture expansion, and which is passed on from mother to daughter.  This is also the Haplogroup of my wife and daughter.  It shows the approximate age of each modification of the DNA, and current locations by percentage.
