Legacy Trail and Venetian Waterway Trail | Florida Rambler
The 11-mile multi-use Legacy Trail follows an abandoned railroad bed from Sarasota's suburbs south to Venice, where it links up with another 10 miles of trails in Venetian Waterway Park. At the halfway mark, the trail hooks into 15 miles of off-road trails in Oscar Scherer State Park.

The Legacy Trail is a 15-mile paved trail in Sarasota County, Florida running between Sarasota near Palmer Ranch and Venice. It opened in 2008 along the area's historic rail corridor. Bike Florida has rated the Legacy Trail (along with the Venetian Waterway Park) one of the top 10 bicycle trails in the state of Florida.

Go, Dawgs!!! The Georgia Bulldogs are playing today for the national Championship. At the half they are ahead 13 to nothing.
My wife Beth went to Georgia, so as you can imagine we are excited. She also went to the University of Florida - the Gators, and she was born in October. So I am married to a Bulldog/Gator/Scorpion. This terrifies me.
