Good News
Peoria, Illinois-based Caterpillar Inc., the world’s largest construction-equipment maker, said last month it may add as many as 9,000 workers worldwide this year as sales climb in developing markets. Caterpillar shares have risen more than 50 percent in the past year.
But, how many in the Peoria area? My guess is that they're being vague because they don't want to be transparent about the fact that they're shifting the jobs from here to right to work states, and other countries.

ReplyDeleteThey will add jobs worldwide, which will add to their bottom line. Which will be a good thing for the Corporate Headquarters. Which will be a good thing for Peoria.
